Here we give you a brief overview of how our Ayahuasca ceremony of self-discovery takes place in our Ayahuasca retreat near Salvador da Bahia in Brazil.
Ayahuasca ceremony: A journey into the depths of the self in the midst of nature
If you're looking for an authentic and transformative experience in Brazil, our Ayahuasca retreat is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with yourself. Developed in collaboration with the Luz de Gaya Shamanic Integrative Center, our retreat offers you the opportunity to delve deeply into the spiritual world and embark on a journey to your inner self. The ceremony takes place at the Integrative Center, just 2 km from the retreat site.
The beginning of the journey
After arriving at our retreat, you'll have time to relax and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere. You'll enjoy a specially selected, healthy diet to prepare you for the ceremony. In the days leading up to the ceremony, you'll be guided through meditation, exercise, and yoga—all designed to strengthen your body and mind for the upcoming experience.
The Ceremony – A Sacred Beginning
On the evening of the ceremony, you will be taken by vehicle to the Luz de Gaia Shamanic Integrative Center, just two kilometers from our hotel. Upon arrival, the shaman will personally greet you—either as an individual, in a small group setting with friends, or as a couple. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. The bonfire is lit, and Native American sounds fill the air. It's a time of getting to know each other, of arriving, and of tuning into what's to come.
The beginning of the medical journey
Preparations for the ceremony slowly begin. The shaman speaks, and after a period of introduction, he administers the first ayahuasca drink. The medicine of the forest begins to take effect. Under the open sky and surrounded by nature, in a safe and protected environment, you will experience a journey to the deepest levels of your consciousness throughout the night.
Over the course of the night, the ayahuasca is administered three times, each time increasing its intensity and opening up deeper levels of self. HP, a traditional Native American snuff, is also offered during the ceremony, deepening the spiritual experience and further opening consciousness.
Each participant is accompanied by a personal guardian who oversees the ceremony and provides support. The guardians also drink the medicine to guide the participants on their journey and give them a sense of connection.
The Night of Healing and Insight
The ceremony lasts all night, and you'll be accompanied by deep silence and the sounds of nature. It's a time of healing, letting go, and rediscovering yourself. The shaman will guide you through the different phases of the experience and help you connect with your inner knowing.
This journey is not only a spiritual experience, but also one that heals body, mind, and soul. The medicine of the forest, Ayahuasca, opens doors that often remain closed to us in everyday life—doors to inner clarity, spiritual growth, and deep understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Conclusion
Our Ayahuasca retreat offers you a unique opportunity to connect with nature and embark on a profound journey. Surrounded by the beauty of Brazil and supported by experienced shamans and guardians, you will have a transformative experience that will stay with you for a long time.
If you are ready to begin your journey, we look forward to welcoming you to our retreat.
